Those who skipped the game tonight at home missed an offensive force.
Despite the poor attendance in the stands, Otterbein dominated Capital’s Crusaders in almost every statistic in their 84-72 rivalry win in the Rike.
Senior Kristi Kotterman barely missed a basket, going 10-13, with another 5-6 from behind the three-point line, giving her a game and team high 29 points.
Three other starters for the Cardinals had hot hands as well, with senior Shea McCoy, freshman Tabatha Piper and junior Chelsea Cannon scoring 16, 14 and 18 points respectively. Cannon reached a career high tonight.
This win now puts the team at 16-6 for the season, 10-5 in the OAC.
Rebekah Will, Shalena Hawkins and Stacy Timmerman each had 15 points for Capital, who only bettered Otterbein in turnovers, giving the ball away 8 times to Otterbein’s 13.
Capital is neck and neck with Otterbein in terms of record. The Crusaders now sit at 14-8 for the season, 9-6 in the OAC.
The women Crusaders will return to Bexely to play Baldwin-Wallace at 3 p.m. You can also find the Lady Cards at home vs. Muskingum at the same time.
