You know you are extremely busy when you finally have the time to go out with your friends and you choose to sleep instead.

This is how I feel every weekend. Maybe it is because I love being involved. Maybe it is because I want to help or maybe it is because I just don’t want to be bored. Whatever the reason, I have become the “yes I can do it” person for every group I have joined, every team I am on, and every job I am employed to.

Now before you start thinking that I am complaining again and that if I did not want to be so busy I should not have joined anything, but it is really not all my fault.

The first thing they tell you when you get on campus is to get involved so you can meet people and love college and yadda yadda yadda. So that is exactly what I have been doing for the past ten weeks; I have been trying to get to know Otterbein on a deeper level by interacting with people in different situations. It is just very, very tiresome sometimes.

The thought of how many things I need to accomplish in one day is exhausting let alone actually doing it. Some weeks it has gotten so bad that I have to plan a time when I can put in all my weekly plans in my planner.

If you read my last blog you know that I have been just waiting for this day when I get an extra hour of sleep because of daylight savings. Too bad my brain did not communicate to my body; I woke up an hour earlier than I needed to for church and could not go back to sleep.

I do not regret anything that I have been able to do, because I still have time to study, hang with my favorite amigas, and have down time. It is just annoying sometimes, because I have to plan out every little thing I do to make sure I have time for it all. But there really is not any other option for me other than just not get involved and sit in my dorm room—alone—while the rest of the world moves on without me.

So is it great to be involved? Yes, maybe not as much as me, but either way I love everything that I do.
