Thursday night the Cleveland Browns marched into Pittsburgh and tried to play spoiler. It didn’t work as the Steelers won 14-3. If you’re wondering why the score was so low it was due to Big Ben getting injured in the first half.

He injured his ankle on a nasty sack in the first quarter. Charlie Batch came in when the game was 7-3 and was very ineffective. Luckily Pittsburgh’s defense was dominating enough to not let the Browns score for the rest of the game. When Rothlisberger returned in the fourth quarter he took the Steelers down the field and scored another touchdown.

This game may have looked meaningless to fans but it was very important in the AFC North race. The Steelers are now half a game ahead of the Ravens with a 10-3 record. This also affects the Bengals who are fighting for a wild card spot and will have to compete with these two and many more. All this game did was amp up this race.

My opinion is that the Steelers win the division because the only tough team they will face is San Francisco. After that they’ll face St. Louis and Cleveland. Baltimore has to face the Bengals and the Chargers two teams that will be in desperation mode and could trip up the Ravens. Still these games have to be played and anything can happen. That’s what’s great about the NFL.
