The Westerville City Council discussed and voted on the pay grades and ranges for municipal employees. This includes Westerville city manager Dave Collinsworth.

Collinsworth will be receiving a 4 percent increase in pay going from $129,720 a year to $135,000. On top of that, his base salary will be put into a deferred compensation program.

Other city managers have been receiving pay increases as well. The Columbus Dispatch has compiled a list of the highest paid leaders in Franklin County. Upper Arlington’s Ted Staton will earn $30,000 more, making him one of the highest paid managers in Franklin County.

When looking at the big picture, it all evens out. The head chair of council, Michael Heyeck said, “The base salary, the deferred compensation car allowance, all of those things turn out to be somewhere just less than the midpoint of all other city managers in the surrounding area.”
