A decent sized crowd filled the seats at the Westerville City Council meeting Tuesday evening, as the hot button topic involved the support of the Westerville City Schools levy.

This levy, which will be voted on by the citizens of Westerville, is a major one which will complete the three component system envisioned by VP of the Westerville City School Board Denise Pope. This system consists of the local government and vibrant city businesses teaming up with the school systems, in order to create a strong community. The vote for this levy will take place at the March 6th Primary Election.

Another interesting topic that was addressed at the council meeting was that of the City of Westerville saving 1/4 of a million dollars this winter season. This thanks to the minimal snowfall the city has accumulated these past few months, resulting in little snow salt being needed as well as no city equipment being used to clear the usual snow we experience.

Next Tuesday (2/28) at 7pm, Westerville City Hall will host the State of the Community Address. For more information, please visit the City of Westerville website.
