Q: How can I join the staff?

A: Just show up. The paper is produced Tuesday nights in COMM 155 and you can show up, get a free dinner and help. If you want to have a show on WOBN, they meet Tuesdays at 4 in the COMM building. WOCC, WOBN, the T&C and Otterbein360.com all meet Tuesdays at 4 in the COMM building. Just walk right in.

Q: Do I need to be a journalism/mass communication/JAMC to join?

A: Nope. Students in those programs are required to work in student media, but all students are welcome.

Q: Do I need any previous experience?

A: No. We’re here to help you learn.

Q: What positions are available?

A: We need reporters, editors, announcers, photographers, bloggers, producers, advertising sales reps….

Q: What is the time commitment?

A: You can be as involved as fits in your schedule. We can also help you coordinate with study abroad and sports.

Q: Will I get the desk I want?

A: If you get here first.

Q: Where is the newsroom?

A: 33 Collegeview, COMM 155

Q: Can I join other groups?

A: Sure.

Q: Do I get paid?

A: Some staff are paid. The Tan and Cardinal hires in the fall for the calendar year. WOCC hires each semester. WOBN hires in the spring. We are always hiring ad sales reps.
